IMPORTANT! UNITS MATTER!
READ THIS BEFORE USING LYMPHOCYTE DEPLETION KINETICS TOOL

This tool requires the following lymphocyte units to yield a valid result
- ALC Values must be entered in units of: [measured value] x 10⁹ cells/liter
- Many labs and clinicians use different units:
  - [measured value] x cells/mm³ or [measured value] x cells/mcL
- Before using this tool. be sure to convert the ALC to the proper units!
  - See chart for conversion among alternative units. [Adapted from the AFRRI BAT program]
- Values must be in the following ranges
  - Entering > 7.0 x 10⁹ cells/liter will yield warning message: "Lymphocyte count is out of range"
  - Entering < 0.007 x 10⁹ cells /liter will yield warning message: "Lymphocyte count is out of range"
  - For calculations using a single absolute lymphocyte count,the following condition must be present for this tool to calculate a radiation dose
    - Lymphocyte count is > 0.007 x 10⁹ cells/liter and ≤ 1.35 x 10⁹ cells/liter
  - For calculations using multiple absolute lymphocyte counts, the following conditions must be present for this tool to calculate a radiation dose
    - At least one total lymphocyte count must be ≤ 1.35 x 10⁹ cells/liter OR
    - One blood draw must occur ≥ 36 hours after exposure
- Time range for drawing blood for the lymphocyte depletion kinetics tool
  - Latest allowable time: 264 hours (11 days) after the "date/time of exposure"
  - The tool will not allow entry of any measurements taken before time of exposure.
